Do you like classic literature? Classic movies? How about classic monsters? The English Department invites you to a screening of the famous 1931 film “Frankenstein” to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley’s masterpiece, Frankenstein; or, the Modern Prometheus. This event is free and open to all. After the screening, join us for a post-film conversation on the legacy of Shelley’s creation from different disciplinary perspectives. The discussion will be led by R-MC faculty from different departments. Featured speakers include Prof. Jen Cadwallader (English), Prof. Jim Doering (Music), Prof. Jim Foster (Biology), and Prof. Jack Trammell (Sociology). These panelists will welcome your comments and questions about the film. The event is sponsored by the English Department and Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honors Society.
