6:00 PM - 7:00 PM (ET)
Dollar Tree Rm., Brock Commons (304 Henry St.)
Event Type

Lise Meitner led a remarkable life as a pioneering nuclear physicist.  However, her path was fraught with difficulties.  As a teenager, her gender kept her out of school, while the boys her age continued.  She fled Nazi Germany, leaving behind her beloved laboratory, and her closest colleague wrote her out of the history of her greatest scientific discovery. R-MC Physics Professor Rachele Dominguez will discuss this brilliant and under-recognized physicist. Free and open to the public.
